At South Gate Church of Christ, every person has a story — a testimony of grace, healing, growth, and belonging. Whether it’s a life changed by baptism, a family restored through fellowship, or simply the peace that comes from finding truth in Scripture, these voices reflect what God is doing among us.     A year ago, I arrived at this church during a very special and delicate moment in my life. I had become a widower after a long journey alongside my wife, and I was going through a season of solitude and deep reflection.

    After many years living in a wheelchair, I came to understand that although the body may have limitations, the spirit can always move forward when it is held in the hand of God.

    In this congregation, I found more than just a place to gather: I found direction, teaching, and spiritual restoration. Under the leadership of Pastor Ernesto Trejo, I have received solid guidance, firm teaching, and an example of Christian living. I feel honored and proud to be his student and disciple.

    From the very first day, the brothers and sisters treated me with respect, dignity, and sincere love. I never felt different; I felt like part of a family.

    Today I can say with gratitude that this place has been an instrument of God to strengthen my faith, renew my purpose, and remind me that we are never alone when we walk in Christ.

    Thank you to this church for opening both its doors and its heart to me.
